Kamloops Women’s Resource Group Society is a non-profit group which began in 1984, and for 25 years has worked to support and provide a safe space for women and girls within our community.
KWRGS Mission Statement:
Our mission is to provide a safe and welcoming space for women to come together, honouring and promoting diversity, and to work for democratic, social and economic equality for women.
1) To inform the Kamloops community about the strengths, accomplishments, needs and concerns of all women in the Kamloops region. This will include, but is not limited to, social determinants of health such as: poverty, violence, education, ability and age.
2) We work to ensure that people become more knowledgeable about the outcomes of various public policies as they relate to women and can make informed decisions.
3) To establish and maintain a collection of resources for women in the Kamloops area that provides information and support for the needs and concerns that women identify for themselves.
4) Be the voice for women in Kamloops by collecting the statistical data of needs identified by women accessing KWRGS.
