Untold Stories Books I & II
Women have always been involved in the community, and it is important to document women’s stories that make our community a better place to live.
KWRGS published a second Untold Stories book, One Action at a Time: Women’s Untold Stories II, which is now available for sale. The City Social Planning Grant covered some of the costs of publishing the second book and we would like to recognize them for their contribution to preserving women’s herstory in Kamloops! The second book was launched on June 11th, 2013 at 5:30pm at the North Shore Community Centre as a component of KWRGS’ AGM. Please contact our office if you have questions about this project.
Three women featured in book One Action at a Time, Diana Douglas, Julia Mitra and Dianna Kerr will be presenting in our Speaker Series on August 11th 2015 from 7-8:30pm at Chartwell Kamloops (628 Tranquille Rd). Come out and here them share experiences from their life journey, in particular the work they have done in Kamloops. They will also discuss what it has been like being a part of the book. Books for sale at event – $12
