Kamloops Slut Walk!
SlutWalk is a march to end victim-blaming, part of a larger movement of ending violence against women.
The SlutWalk began in Toronto in 2011 in response to a police officer’s public comments: “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized”.

We recognize that not all women are comfortable with taking back the word slut. Please walk with us in solidarity, wearing whatever you feel comfortable wearing, whether that is a short skirt and high heels or not. The heart of this event is the desire to end the disturbing occurrence in our society of blaming women for crimes against them. Women never deserve rape, no matter what they are wearing.
Bring signs to display your reasons for walking and this is an all genders event focused on the well being and safety of all participants.
